Sardinia is an island off the west coast of Italy, and neighboring Corsica. It's coastline is home to some of the most beautiful sandy beaches in all of Italy, and its interior is mountain-filled with numerous hiking trails. One of the most interesting things to find on this island are the neolithic monuments built by the indigenous Sardinians called "nuraghi", which date from the Bronze Age. The largest plot of these nuraghi can be found in Barumini. Some of the places we will be going include: Cagliari, Alghero, Olbia, Stintino, Villasimius, and more.
Beaches like Cala Gonone and Budoni are also on the list.
Foods to try: culurgiones, malloreddus, porcheddu, stufato di capretto, pesce azzurro, pecorino, Seada, carasau, and torrone.
Sardinia produces one of Italy's most well known beers- Ichnusa.
