Molise is a small region in Southern Italy sharing a fair amount of mountains and sea. It's interior is filled with the Appenine mountains and the Abruzzo national park. Campobasso is the capital of Molise, and is home to a beautiful castle and numerous Romanesque churches. In the northern part of Molise, you can find ancient sites like Pietrabbondante which houses Roman theatres and temples. Molise is the youngest state to be formed in Italy.
